PhD scholar hangs self on IIT campus

 A 28-year-old married PhD scholar allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself inside the IIT-Delhi campus on Tuesday.

According to the police, they received a PCR call at 7.45 am on Tuesday at the south district control room regarding suicide by hanging in Nalanda Apartments on IIT-Delhi campus.

"On reaching the spot, police team found Manjula Devak (28), a PhD final year student, had committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan in her room No 413 in Nalanda Apartments," said a senior police officer.

Meanwhile, no suicide note has been recovered from the possession of the victim.
