Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MlA Ved Prakash has alleged that he is being mentally tortured even after leaving the AAP. He said after submitting his resignation three days ago, he was called by Speaker Ram Niwas Goyal in connection with his resignation and the appointment was fixed at 1 pm.
“It is surprising that I was not called for one-and-half hour and mentally tortured. So many things were said and questions asked which were not at all relevant to my resignation. I was forced to reconsider my decision of leaving the AAP,” said Prakash, who recently joined BJP.
leader of Opposition (loP) and BJP MlA Vijender Gupta said the AAP is committing excesses on Prakash for joining BJP. “The Rule 255 of Delhi Vidhan Sabha stipulates that the resignation must be accepted immediately,” said Gupta. “Speaker can satisfy himself that there is no pressure on the member but he cannot delay its acceptance. It is against the rule to ask member to force him to reconsider his decision which was done by the AAP,” he added.
