The two Didis used to come to my class during recess. They used to cover my face with their hand so that I did not scream and took me to an adjacent building in the school where they used to undress me, make me dance. Whenever I stopped, they hit me with a belt. All this time, one of them kept recording this and also clicked my pictures. They even injected me with something which made me unconscious: the minor sobbed while she narrated her tale of horror .
West district police on Sunday has arrested the main accused girl, who is a major, on charges of sexual abuse and criminal intimidation.
“Once I regained consciousness, they used to take me to the terrace and threatened me saying that they will push me down the building if I told about the things they did to me to anyone,” the 7-year-old girl told The Pioneer while sitting among her family members on Monday evening.
Recalling the sequence of events, the visibly shaken girl also mentioned that one of her school shoes was cut open and that her toe was injured. The minor also bore the wounds of injection marks on her back and upper arm.
The uncle of the girl added, “The girl had been going through this ordeal for the past four months. Since her parents are visually impaired, they sent their daughter to my place in Delhi where she was undergoing her education for the past three years. For the past three months, the girl used to come home complaining about pain.”
He further added, “We all thought that since she was infected with Chikangunya six months back, she must be feeling weak.”
The girl told her aunt on February 25 that she had been undergoing through the torture meted out by the two senior girls, a class 9 and a class 7 student respectively, since October last year.
A 15-year-old cousin of the victim shared that the minor girl once mentioned to her about the regular beatings given by the two senior girls. “We thought it was a regular fight among school students. Had we paid any heed to her complaints, the girl would not have undergone this much trauma.”
Recalling what led to the arrest of one of the accused on February 25, the victim’s uncle said, “We went to the school and complained to the Principal, Anita Aggrawal. She called the class teacher of the minor girl, Shalini. Instead of calling the two girls, both the Principal and the class teacher of Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Moti Nagar chided us away saying that the two girls are innocent. But we kept telling that one of the girls did wrong things to our girl. Only after an hour, the class teacher locked the elder one of the accused inside the classroom. However, since the other girl was a juvenile, the school authorities helped her in running away from the school.”
“Inside the school, we asked the teachers to at least show us the accused girls. It was only when we were coming back towards the main exit gate that the 7-year-old girl, who was also accompanying her uncle and parents, pointed towards the elder girl. “The girl started shivering on seeing one of the accused. She pointed towards her and this eventually led to her arrest,” said another relative.
A day after the Delhi Police arrested one girl in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a seven year old girl in a Government school in Moti Nagar area of West Delhi, the victim recalled and shared with The Pioneer about how she was beaten with a school belt, was also bitten by the two senior girls and forced to remove her clothes. "The two didis made my video and took me to terrace where they threatened to push me down the building if I disclosed about the assault to anyone", she narrated her ordeal in her trembling voice.
