Environment Minister reviews city's air quality

Delhi Environment Minister Imran Hussain on Monday reviewed the present Air quality status and implementation of the directions issued by the courts in the recent past.

In a review meeting, the concentration of different pollutants, specially, particulates and their trend along with the fog was discussed.

The concentration of particulate matter is lower than the values observed in 2016 during the period between January 1 and January 29 2017.

The Minister stressed upon the need for keeping surveillance and vigil by the concerned agencies in order to control Ambient

Air Quality.

The Minister also observed that since night temperature is going down, stress needs to be given to control the garbage and biomass burning.
