US Vice President Joe Biden has ruled out the possibility of serving as Secretary of State in a potential Hillary Clinton administration.
Reacting to a report in “Politico”, citing a source as saying that he may well be Clinton’s top choice for the post of Secretary of State if she won the White House race, Biden told CNN affiliate KBJR that he has no intention of remaining in the administration.
“I’ll do anything I can if Hillary’s elected to help her, but I don’t want to remain in the administration,” Biden said. While noting that Clinton herself had not reached out to him as yet about any potential role, Biden said: “I have no intention of staying involved. I have a lot of things to do, but I’ll help her if I can in any way I can.”
