Chief Minister Raman Singh on Saturday assured of taking up an initiative to get a local Head Office (lHO) of the State Bank of India (SBI) opened in Chhattisgarh.
A delegation led by President of State Bank Officers’ Federation Sunil Tiwari had called on the Chief Minister at his residence and requested him to open a SBI lHO in Chhattisgarh.
During discussion with Singh, they informed that if SBI lHO is established in the State, people will get better banking facilities and banking-related decisions would be taken in less time.
Moreover, this would also create employment opportunities and expand other facilities, he said. The Chief Minister said that this is in the larger interest of the State and he would discuss the proposal with Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely.
On the occasion, Deputy General Secretary of State Bank Officers Federation Vijay Yechuri and other members were also present.
