Udvahan Irrigation Scheme to be restarted

District Collector Niranjan Das interacted with the villagers of Baruka at Gariaband block during a ‘Chaupal’ programme on Thursday as part of the ongoing state-wide lok Suraj Mission.

Also, he directed the officials to solve the woes of the villagers.

He asked the departmental officers to restart the Udvahan Irrigation Scheme by repairing the damaged pipeline .

Das went through the various schemes executed in the villages and encouraged the villagers to take benefit of these schemes.

The Collector also motivated the people to use toilets which in turn will help in making the place ‘Open Defecation Free’. The Village Secretary informed that around 59 families out of 97 have constructed toilets. He further inquired about Health, Education, Public Distribution System, Drinking Water and Pension issues.
