The Utkal Sammilani observed its 113rd foundation day with members garlanding the statue of Sammilani’s founder Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das at Raj Bhawan Square here on Friday.
A meeting was organised to mark the occasion under the chairmanship of Sammilani Mancheswar Industrial Estate branch president Dillip Dashsharma. Sammilani advisor, freedom fighter and former MlA Padma Charan Nayak graced the occasion as guest.
Among others, senior members Dr Kamala Kant Kar, Jagdish Buxipatra and Dwarikanath Mohanty, Bhubaneswar branch president Bibhuti Mishra, branch vice-presidents Sheetal Chandra Mohanty, Er Nirakar Mahalik and Basing Singh, branch joint secretaries Bibhuti Swain and Arnu Patnaik, council members Er Shiba Prasad Mishra ad Ashok Palatasingh, Basanti Tripathi, Mam Gobinda Sethi, Manoranjan Mohanty, Debray Pitambar Mohapatra, Anand Chandra Patnaik and Rabinarayan Sethi too attended.
The celebration began with the song Bande Utkal Janani and concluded with the slogan Madhusudan Das Amar Rahe recited by members.
