The trial engine for lohardaga Tori main line was started on Tuesday. On the occasion senior section engineer and others were present. Around 9:30 am the engine went to Voda. After staying for awhile it came back to lohardaga. The scheme was started in 1996 in the tenure of minister Ram Bilas Paswan. But some naxal acts checked the work.
After start of the line the people going to Delhi would be able to save both money and time. Rajdhani Exp and many other trains would go through this line. The distance of Ranchi Tori railway line is 113 km whereas Ranchi lohardaga line is only of 69 km. the distance of Tori to lohardaga would be 44km. there would be 12 stations. to come back and hence the naxalism can be controlled. In this direction this would be proved mile stone. In this league 72 teams will participate.”
On the occasion SDPO Ram Sarek Rai, DSP Ashish Mahli, inspector, thana-in-charge Bhandra Jai Prakash, thana-in-charges of Senha and Serengdag, District council members Ram lakhan Prasad, Kalawati Devi and public leaders with many villagers were present.
