Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat met and thanked the Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Kalraj Mishra for according approval to the tool room centre at Sitarganj in Udham Singh Nagar district.
Meeting the Union Minister in New Delhi on Wednesday, the CM said that the State has provided 20 acre land free of cost for this purpose while also requesting Mishra to soon finalise the date for laying the foundation for this centre.
CM further said that under the MSME sector, the National Small Industry Corporation (NSIC) is setting up institutes across the nation to provide training to those in such enterprises as in Kashipur where one such a centre is operating.
He requested the Union Minister to facilitate establishment of such centres in the mountainous regions of Uttarakhand especially at Gauchar in Chamoli district, Srinagar in Pauri district, Almora and Pithoragarh to further encourage entrepreneurship in the State.
