Valuables worth Rs 1 lakh were stolen from Four Season Marriage garden under Koh-e-Fiza police station area on February 25; a complaint was lodged by the victim on February 27 with Koh-e-Fiza police.

According to the police purse and bag carrying valuables went missing during marriage function of the victim Sadhna Arora’s son Mohit on Feb 25 at Four Seasons marriage garden. 

Victim is a resident of Arera Colony and on February 25 during her son Mohit Arora’s marriage function at Four Season Marriage garden while she was busy attending the guest she kept her purse and bag carrying gift envelops having cash, gold chain and a mobile phone.

She claimed that the total loss is around Rs 1 lakh. Her belongings went missing at 11.30 pm.

The police have registered a case under section 379 of the ICP and have started further investigation.

Police said that at the marriage functions establishing the identity of the miscreants is a little tough task as the number of people of different groups present at the function keep moving and are not restricted to move across the venue. On the other hand the victim is easily identity as it would be close relatives of groom and bride who would be handling the jewelry and cash carrying gift envelops.

The marriage garden owners have been instructed for keeping the safety and security measures and CCTV cameras have installed at several marriage gardens. The CCTV cameras installed would be searched which could help in the identification of the miscreant.
