The Sahid Nagar police on Saturday arrested Suryaprava Realcon MD Sudhir Bebarta on the charge of duping people of a whopping amount of `2.50 crore on land sale promise.
According to police, Sudhir had taken money from a person to sell land to him in 2004. But he did not hand over any land to him despite repeated requests. The person then lodged a complaint with the Sahid Nagar police against him.
Police are now investigating to know whether Sudhir has duped any other person.
