Sunny days continue across State

On Sunday day temperatures were witnessed at higher levels making the weather conditions hot and humid while the night temperatures are still providing relief by maintaining cold conditions. 

City recorded day temperature at 32.8 degree celsius and night temperature at 15.1 degree celsius.

Night temperatures were witnessed above normal temperatures in the past 24 hours and Met officials told that the trend would remain the same and the increasing pattern would be witnessed in the next 4-5 days.

Day temperatures were significantly above normal over these areas. The present spell of rain will bring down the temperatures by 2°C to 4°C.

Shajapur recorded the lowest night temperature at 12 degree celsius.

Met officials told that the system over adjoining parts of the state and South-East Madhya Pradesh would induce light showers and thundery activities and Mandla, Dindori, Betul, Khargone, Khandwa and Chhindwara region would witness thundery activities and light showers in the next 24 hours.

Rain and thunderstorms will continue over northern parts of state. Few pockets may receive good rainfall with squally winds blowing at a speed of 60 to 80km/h. Southwest Madhya Pradesh may witness isolated hailstorm.

The cyclonic circulation over Southwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas persists. The trough can also be seen running from Southwest Madhya Pradesh up to Karnataka, across the cyclonic circulation.

The day and night temperatures would be witnessed around 32 degree Celsius and 15 degree Celsius respectively in the next 24 hours.

Windy conditions would be witnessed in the city and the average speed of the winds would remain in the range of 12-15 km per hour. Partial clouding would be witnessed in the next 24 hours in the city and light showers with thundery activities are likely to occur.

Day temperatures witnessed above near normal temperatures on Saturday were witnessed above normal temperatures on Sunday.

Jabalpur recorded the day temperature at 31 degree Celsius, Gwalior recorded day temperature at 31.9 degree Celsius and Indore recorded day temperature at 32.4 degree celsius among the major cities.

Temperatures in Hoshanagbad divisions witnessed increase in temperature above a normal temperature in the past 24 hours.
