Altogether 16 universities and institutions, including defending champions Ravenshaw University and five from other states, will be vying for top honors in this year’s SOA Premier league T-20 Cricket Championship being organised by SOA University here from April 1.
The teams, divided into four groups, will play a round-robin league at the SOA Stadium with the top team in each group progressing into the semifinals. The semifinals would be played on April 10 and the final the next day.
While Utkal University, Bhagalpur University, lovely Professional University and OUAT have been placed in Group-A, Berhampur University, National law School of India University, Guru Ghasidas University and IIT, Bhubaneswar would comprise Group-B.
Group-C would include Ravenshaw University, KIIT University, Jadavpur University and Integral University, lucknow while IIIT, Bhubaneswar, Centurion University, Biju Patnaik University of Technology and hosts SOA University have been clubbed together in Group-D.
