Senior minister of the State Cabinet Rajendra Shukla on Saturday went door to door seeking votes for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Narayan Tripathi, in over a dozen villages of Maihar Assembly constituency.
Shukla toured villages of Maihar assembly constituency incluiding Pipra, Rewara, latagaon, Majhgawa and Dhanwahi and appealed the electorate to make Tripathi victorious.
Shukla also addressed public meeting during his whirlwind tour of the constituency that would go to polls on February 13. “When BJP came to power, the State used to be called BIMARU State and now under BJP rule of twelve years, it is one of the leading developing States,” said Shukla while addressing a public meeting.
The minister informed the electorate of the constituency about the development works to be started soon in the constituency including renovation of Sampat Sahu’s memorial, construction of Rani Durgawati memorial and establishment of Sant Ravidas Temple, besides the programmes that are going to be held on Sant Ravidas Kumbh.
“This is the chance for electorate of Maihar constituency to punish Congress with the power of their vote and for the development of the constituency make BJP candidate Narayan Tripathi victorious,” Shukla said.
Meanwhile, BJP State secretary and MP Ganesh Singh also conducted mass contact in support of Tripathi at Podi, Itma, lodoti, Etehara and Bhensasur.
“There is no difference in BJP’s saying and doing. BJP does the politics of good governance, security and development. For the development of Maihar assembly constituency, progress of villages, poor and farmers and for the security of every resident’s dignity make Tripathi victorious with huge margin,” Singh said while addressing a public meeting.
He said that Congress is deceiving people of the country since independence and has failed to remove
poverty.
