Shala Sidhdhi programme launched in 25,000 primary, middle schools

In order to bring qualitative improvement in school education, several initiatives and innovations have been taken by the State Government in the last few years. In this series, a frame work, ‘Shala Sidhdhi’ programme is undertaken by the National University of Education Planning and Administration, New Delhi (NUEPA) for evaluation and improvement in the education system. This programme has been launched in 25,000 primary and middle schools of the State.

All round development of school will be done by self evaluation and outside evaluation under the programme.

Network system has been established by the school education department for knowledge sharing between teachers and students. A hub portal has been prepared in which the most frequent questions asked by the students and their answers are included. Also, other utility site link facilities are provided in the portal. The portal is being made more informative on the basis of continuous suggestions.

Professional education has been expanded to 313 block levels in current year in order to encourage professional education. School has been selected at each block level.

Nine trades like Banking and Financial Services, Electrical Technology, Health Care, IT-IT ES, Physical Education and Sports, Retail, Travel and Tourism, Beauty and Wellness and Security activities are being conducted under the professional education. Any of the two trades from the above mentioned trades are conducted in each school.

Almost 27,000 students are getting trained under this professional education programme. The professional education will be expanded to other schools in the coming years.
