A Mahua trader was shot dead in broad daylight here on Monday morning.
Sources said three unidentified miscreants came by bike to Kapsinga haat at around 11.30 am at Jareikela under Bisra police station and looted Rs15,000 from a Mahua trader who was purchasing the produce there. But while fleeing the spot, one of the miscreants shot at the trader’s neck from close range.
The deceased was identified as Bhagyaban Singh, a resident under Jareikela police outpost.
“We are investigating the case and will nab the miscreants soon,” said Bisra police station IIC PK Biswal.
