Three armed miscreants looted Rs3.70 lakh at gunpoint from the Utkal Gramin Bank on Tuesday morning at Rajgangpur in Sundargarh district. The police are now searching to nab the robbers.
The bank is situated at Malidih panchayat under Rajgangpur police station. At around 11 am, three miscreants with masks on their face came to the bank in a bike. While two of them entered into the bank, another miscreant waited near the gate, which had no security guard posted outside it. After entering into the bank, the two miscreants immediately asked branch manager Debasis Naik to hand over the cash. They also threatened another two staffers of the bank not to make any move. Branch Manager Naik immediately handed over Rs3.70 lakh to the miscreants.
later the two along with the third one waiting near the gate fled the spot in their bike with the cash. The branch manager immediately informed Rajgangpur police station. Rajgangpur police and SDPO BK Naik rushed to the spot and started an investigation.
