Senior officials to devise crime control plans: DGP

Prospective plan for 15 years, strategic plan for seven years and three years for working on them should be devised by senior officials and in-charge of departments according to the Niti Aayog, said Director General of Police Rishi Shukla while addressing meeting at State Police Headquarters on Tuesday.

Under the planning of controlling crimes, maintaining law and order, safety of human lives, road safety should be included and necessary technical support should be taken for planning.

Discussion on infrastructure, man power, legal support, betterment in services for citizens, strengthening recruitment and training centers, use of advance technology and telecommunications were held. 

Meanwhile fifteen day self-defense training programme ‘Training of Trainers’ would be held by crime against woman department of State Police Headquarters for sports trainers of colleges, programme would be held from September 1 to 21 at police gymnasium in lal Parade ground. The aim of the training camp is to train maximum number of students in self-defense.

Department has organised self-defense camp in the past for the girl students which would not only train them in self-defense but it will also boost their confidence. In the training programme along with the participants of the colleges police personnel from traffic police would participate. The trainers would be trained which could help them in training students of their respective colleges.

The participating institutions are Chirayu College, Govt. Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya, Sarojini Naidu Government Girls PG College, Govt.Geetanjali Girls PG (Autonomous) College, Gandhi Medical College, Jagran lake City University, Institute for Excellence in Higher Education, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology and Bhopal traffic police.
