With the aim to provide world class services to its patients, four new and indispensable services were initiated in Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) campus on Wednesday. These services included Central Sterilisation Supply Division (CSSD), including online registration system, hot diet trolley and central gas pipeline service. State’s Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi launched these facilities on Wednesday.

Central gas pipeline services will be extended to super speciality wing and oncology unit whereas the CSSD services will be helpful in maintaining proper hygiene. Both online registration services and hot diet trolley are solely dedicated to patients for their convenience. To provide better quality free food service to patients, the price has been increased to Rs 80. Earlier, Rs 50 per plate was fixed. As per the requirement, the state government will give all assistance to the hospital.”
As the dedicated health care institute, RIMS administration has planned to expand its services in other core units too at the earliest, “We have appealed at both State and Central level to increase the MBBS seats for which a grant of Rs 150 crore has been asked to sanction from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. To operate few wings of super speciality unit on the pattern of AIIMS, New Delhi, a team of specialized doctors of the institute will visit the RIMS campus on April 4-5.
