Documents and furniture were gutted in short circuit caused fire which broke out at the store room of Rajeev Gandhi Technical University (RGTU) at New Jail Road late in the afternoon on Friday.
Several documents at the store room of the RGPV were gutted in fire which broke out due to short circuit. In the fire furniture at the store room was also damaged.
Fire brigade was informed and on the receipt of the information fire tender vehicles were rushed to the spot. Six fire tender vehicles were rushed to the spot to pacify fire and it took around an hour to pacify the fire. Superintendent of Police Bhopal (North) Arvind Saxena said that the fire was pacified within an hour and no one was injured or casualty was reported.
Documents and furniture were gutted in fire but important documents were not gutted in fire. One of the employees of the institution assigned to take care of store room was present at the time of the incident near the store room escaped unhurt, he added.7
