Train movement on the Tatanagar-Chakradharpur section of South-Eastern Railway (SER) will remain disturbed on June 1 (Wednesday) in view of repair works. The officials informed that the tracks and installation work of two low height sub-ways between Rajkharsawan and Dongaposhi will be carried out.
The repair and installation work, called Traffic-cum-Power block, will start at 9am and continue till 5.30pm. Besides tracks, the overhead high-tension cables will be also fixed, SER sources said.
Both the Garden Reach, the Kolkata -based headquarters of South Eastern Railway and office of the senior divisional operating manager of Chakradharpur have issued separate circulars today, saying that because of the railway block, movement of several passenger trains would remain affected on that day.
Both the Up and Dn Tata-Gua Passenger train will remain cancelled on that day. The Jhargram-Midnapur Passenger, Midnapur-Jhargram Jangal Mahal Passenger and Kharagpur-Tatanagar Passenger will run on a diverted route.
The Howrah-Barbil Janshatabdi Express (12021) will be short-terminated at Tatanagar railway station. The returning train will resume its journey from Tatanagar railway station in the evening.
