The Raipur Development Authority (RDA) on Wednesday tabled a budget to the tune of over Rs 619 crore indicating income of about Rs 579 crore.
As per information received, around 72.76 percent would be the budgetary expenses on schemes and 17.40 percent of the budget would be used for repayment of loan from Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) and Central Bank of India. Besides, 2.62 percent has been allocated for employee’s wages and allowances and about 3.80 percent budget has been fixed for the administrative expenses.
The budget provisions include development of Express Highway on narrow gauge route, construction of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, housing project in city’s Saddu area, development of stadium in Hind Sporting Ground, digitalization of offices and others.
Besides, the budget also includes development of recreation and water sports in Kamal Vihar and specialized commercial area in Raipura.
According to the budget announcement, RDA is going to construct as many as 1472 flats for group belonging to Economically weaker sections and 944 flats for lower Income Group under Indraprastha-Raipura Scheme Phase -2 of Prime Minister Housing Scheme. The budget also includes series of other developmental works.
