Commenting on the surgical strike resorted to by the Indian Army to dismantle terrorist camps while crossing the line of Control (loC) into Pak-occupied Kashmir on Wednesday, CM Harish Rawat said that the Army deserved to be commended for the action. He categorically said that the politicians must get over party affiliation to speak in one voice when it comes to paramount interests of the nation.
He said that whatever steps the Indian army will take in the nation’s interest should be wholeheartedly supported by one and all. “I for one would support every action taken by the Army to protect the nation’s dignity and sovereignty. I would throw my full weight behind the Centre if the latter ventures to take action to weed out terrorism afflicting our motherland as well as the world at large,” the CM said.
Meanwhile state BJP was in an ecstatic mood on Thursday, celebrating the development at its state headquarters in Dehradun. They burst crackers, claiming that the Narendra Modi government had acted at last against Pakistan, the fountainhead of terrorism.
