Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat extended greetings to the people of the State on the festive occasions of Deepawali, Goverdhan Puja and Bhaiyadooj. The Chief Minister stated in his message that Deepawali is festival of lights. “We should pray health, happiness and prosperity for all”, he said.
Fireworks should be discouraged to conserve the environment and stop the air and noise pollution.
On the occasions of Goverdhan Puja and Bhaiyadooj CM extended heartiest greetings to women particularly and stressed on the determination to ensure the women empowerment and respect.
He added that various welfare schemes are being implemented for women by State Government.
