Raghuram G Rajan, Governor, Reserve Bank of India on Friday visited BHEl, Bhopal and also held discussion with AMV Yugandhar, Executive Director BHEl, Bhopal along with the general managers of the organisation.
His grandfather S Sarangpani was the Managing Director of the BHEl in 1960s. Rajan was born in BHEl’s Kasturba hospital. On Friday, Rajan visited Sarangpani lake in Piplani that has been named after his grandfather and got pictures clicked at the lake.
Rajan visited Energy Excellence centre (Hydro laboratory); Ultra High Voltage laboratory, New Transformer Block saying that the role of BHEl in the nation’s development is enormous.
A Gold medalist from IIT, Delhi in Mechanical engineering and Gold medalist in MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad Rajan appreciated BHEl as an engineering organization saying that the nation has a lot of hope from such organisation.
Yugandhar welcoming Rajan briefed him about the achievements of BHEl, Bhopal for the year 2015-16. He also gave information of various products being manufactured in the unit.
