Archdiocese of Bhopal in collaboration with Queen’s Mary School, Ayodhya by-pass road, organised a workshop on ‘International day of violence against women’.
Sr Quietline, the principal of the school welcomed the distinguished guests with bouquet and said that she was overwhelmed to see the positive response to this workshop and thanked the diocese for extending its help to organise this wonderful workshop to promote meaningful awareness for the school students.
There were around 30 students both boys and girls to speak on the above subject. Three minutes each were given to speak on the topic with a bell and three judges to promote interest among the students.
First, Second and Third prizes besides consolation prizes were awarded as the best speakers. Dharmendra Sharma, DEO, said in his address that in this busy world, encouragements in different fields are not given to the students in spite of various capacities and abilities are prominent among the students. It was clearly visible that abilities of the youngsters were not brought out in the recent Olympic Games, he added.
Neetu Kansariya the SI-Nirbhaya In-charge, said in her address that not to be frightened of any kinds of violence against women as the Government has made very strict rules against the culprits. She asked the girls to be alert and vigilant against others and self.
Father Maria Stephen, the PRO congratulated the school management, staff and students for the enthusiasm in organising such motivating workshop to build violence free society.
He cautioned the parents and the teachers against abuses of children that taking place, knowingly or un-knowingly when they deal with, namely verbal, physical, negligence etc are the source of domestic, workplace and public violence.
