After attending the Ganga Arati at Har Ki Pauri from a special stage made for him on Thursday, President Pranab Mukherjee visited Ganga Sabha office and spent nearly 10 minutes. He wrote in the special register cum visitors’ book kept there that the transcendental quality suffusing the
Ganga Aarti would remain etched in his memory for ever.
This was the President’s second visit to Har Ki Pauri. Earlier, he had come during the time Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister and he was the Union finance minister in late 1980s.
