The annual function ‘Amity’ 2016 of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences was inaugurated on Friday. Chief guest former MP Kharabela Swain inspired students to be great through honesty as anybody can be great if he follows honesty.
Utkal Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association (UPMA) former president Ashok Kumar Pattnaik asked students to be sincere in their studies. AYUSH Director Basudev Bahinipati explained the importance of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Homeopathy).
Student Welfare Dean Prof SS Nanda referred to the student welfare initiatives taken by the institute. Institute Dean Dr Sudam Chandra Si presided over the meeting. The meritorious students were awarded by the guests. Students presented cultural activities in the evening.
A star night programme was held on Saturday in which the stars were Madhubanti and Humane Sagar.
