Apprehending his arrest following his name’s appearance in an FIR pertaining to the sensational suicides in Paralakhemundi of Gajapati district, local Congress MlA K Surya Rao approached the Orissa High Court here on Tuesday seeking anticipatory bail.
Rao’s petition has, however, not yet been listed for hearing, sources in the High Court said.
The Parala Maharaja’s former manager Anang Manjari Patra and her three siblings allegedly committed suicide last week. Holding the MlA and several others responsible for abetting the quartet taking the extreme step, Anang Manjari’s brother Amulya Patra has lodged a complaint with the Paralakhemundi police.
