The turnover of the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation is increasing constantly. The Home-Stay Scheme introduced by the corporation is yielding encouraging results. After Rajwada at Indore, light & Sound Programme will be started at Ujjain soon.
This was informed at a review meeting chaired by Corporation's Chairman Tapan Bhaumik here on Saturday. Bhaumik hoped that MP Tourism would emerge prominently on the world tourism map. He urged staff to work with spirit of dedication and commitment. Corporation's Director Heerendra Singh Shekhawat and Rajesh Dogare were also present on the occasion.
MD Hari Ranjan Rao informed about activities and action plan of the corporation. Rao informed that turnover of Corporation is increasing constantly, which is a positive sign. Along with 6 National Awards to the Corporation, Best Tourism State Award has also been conferred to Madhya Pradesh. The corporation is going to hold first Jal-Mahotsav at Hanuwantiya tourist complex from February 12 to 21.
For this, a tent city is being developed. Year 2016 is being observed as Tourism Year. Rao also informed about online hotel booking facility, mobile audio guide and maximum use of social media. He said that tourist tracking system is being evolved for tourists security.
Corporation's corporate website is being developed. Rao also informed about Corporation's schemes. Additional MD Tanvi Sundriyal was also present. Chairman Tapan Bhaumik was also welcomed by Tourism Development Corporation Employees
