On the concluding day of the Mussoorie Winterline Carnival, Dehradun district magistrate Ravinath Raman flagged off a motorbike rally from near a mall in Dehradun on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the DM said that the motorcycle ride was organised to make the Mussoorie Winterline Carnival a success and to further boost tourism to the ‘Queen of Hills’. Motorcycle owners from various parts of the country, both male and female, participated in the motorcycle ride held on Friday. The district magistrate further said that the main intention behind organising the Mussoorie Winterline Carnival was to further boost tourism activities in the state. The motorcyclists flagged off from Dehradun rode to the Mall Road in Mussoorie and then rode back to Dehradun where the event concluded. The DM further informed that a total eight females and 40 males had taken part in the motorcycle ride held on the occasion. Other departmental officials and representatives of the motorcyclists’ group were also among those present on the occasion.Meanwhile, apart from the motorcycle rally various other events were held on the concluding day of the fest.
Performances by popular folk singer Narendra Singh Negi and Parth Raturi (India’s Got Talent fame) were held in the evening while earlier during the daytime, nature walks, Uttarakhand Food Festival, folk music and dance presentations were held to mark the occasion. A Heritage walk was also organised from the Picture Palace to library Chowk on the concluding day of the carnival.
