A metal fabrication shop owner was critically injured after he was attacked by four armed miscreants and opened fire at him near Central library Tuesday morning. The victim sustained three bullet injuries and his condition is reportedly critical.
Panic prevailed in Central library area after four bike borne miscreants opened fire at a man and escaped the spot.
The locals rushed to his rescue and took him to Chirayu hospital where his condition is reportedly critical.
Victim was identified as Sameer Ullah who resides near Central library and owns a metal fabrication shop near his house.
SP Bhopal (North) Arvind Saxena said that the victim was attacked when he went to open the shop at around 9 am on Tuesday and while he was opening the shop miscreants opened fire at him.
The miscreants were identified as Shaad, Samar, Tahir and Gufran. The attack was fuelled over old enmity and one of the miscreants Shaad had lodged a complaint regarding the victim who along with two others opened fire at him and a case under section 307 of the IPC was registered with the Ashoka Garden police and Sameer was sent under judicial custody and was later granted bail seven days ago.
The victim sustained three bullet injuries are in his arm and shoulder.
In the initial investigation it was found that Shaad along with his uncles are Mansoor, Tahir and Gufran opened fire at the victim and made four rounds of fire. The miscreants went absconding and are still at large.
