Mining residents' health card to be linked with Aadhaar

The IMFA held its fifth tripartite meeting on safety with respect to the Sukinda Mines and Mahagiri Mines here on Wednesday.

Mines Safety, Bhubaneswar Region Director R Subramanian said the health card of the inhabitants in mining area would be linked with Aadhaar Card to identify the genetic disease.

IMFA Senior Vice- President Sanjeev Das assured that the proper care would be taken for all-round development of people and the company is planning to open canteens and construct shelters at Sukinda and Mahagiri Mines. “Besides, GPS-based tracking system for vehicles would be introduced soon to keep a track of minerals transportation,” Das informed.

On the occasion, IMFA Senior GM (Mines) S Patni presented the implementation status report of the 4th tripartite meeting and recommendations of 11th conference on safety in mines and the status in the mines of the IMFA.IMFA VP (Mining) P Behera and GM (electrical) RK Jha were present.
