A 22-year-old married woman was sexually assaulted by a tea stall owner at a farm house in Bairagarh Chichli under Kolar police station area late in the night on Monday.
According to the police, the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused Ankush Sahu in the evening when the victim was alone.
A complaint was lodged with the Kolar police and in her complaint victim stated that at around 8 pm after her husband went along with her daughter for purchasing grocery, the accused entered the shanty and sexually assaulted her and escaped.
After her husband returned she reported the incident to him and later they approached the police to lodge a complaint against the accused.
In charge of Kolar police station SI Gaurav Bundela said that the accused Ankush Sahu runs a road side tea stall near the farm house.
The victim’s husband work as a security guard at Arora farm and used to live with her husband in a shanty made at inside the farm house.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and have started further investigation into the matter.
A case was registered around 3 am in the night after the victim lodged a complaint with the Kolar police.
Police have intensified the search for the accused and have claimed that the accused would be nabbed soon.
The details of the accused has been searched which could help in tracking the accused.
