A 40-year-old man died after his jeep rammed into a parked truck near Durga Nagar square under Ayodhya Nagar police station area on Monday.
Police said an injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital after his car rammed into a parked truck and was declared dead. The truck bearing registration number MP07-HB-0766 was seized by the police in the later investigation.
The deceased, Mohan Pawar, was a resident of Karond. The accident took place at around 6.30 pm when the deceased reached near Durga Nagar square he lost control over the vehicle and rammed the vehicle in the parked truck.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Police have seized the truck and claimed that the accident occurred due to the negligence of the truck driver who parked the truck near the road which resulted in the accident.
The deceased was a resident of Karond. The deceased was driving a Mahindra XUV vehicle which was not having registration number. Police have started further investigation in the case and would investigate the details of the deceased.
