Police on Tuesday arrested Jhatu Barik of Kharipadia village under Tirtol block allegedly for assaulting his son Budhia Barik in family quarrel. The injured son was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital and later died.
Report said, Jhatu in inebriated condition quarreled with his son and attacked his head with a fire log in the presence of his kin Rashmi Ranjan Barik on Monday. Getting information from the hospital, police rushed to the spot and arrested both Jhatu and Rashmi Ranjan.
