Director General of Police (DGP) AN Upadhyay on Saturday suggested Commandants of Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) to maintain close communication and good rapport with lower rank officers and jawans.
The DGP offered the suggestion at a key meeting here at Police Headquarters in which Commandants from all CAF battalions were present.
“Commandant is an important post in a battalion. The Commandant should constantly keep on talking to the subordinates about their family issues so that the moral of jawans remain high,” the DGP told Commandants.
According to DGP, the Commandants should enquire jawans about their children and problems in their residential areas. If possible, those problems should be solved at local level.
DGP Upadhyay further said state government has initiated several steps to address the problems faced by police personnel and those benefits should reach policemen.
He asked the Commandants to keep on visiting companies which are deployed in Naxal-hit regions for carrying out anti-Naxal operation and also to coordinate with district police.
“Commandant and every officer posted in a company should make feel even the smallest Jawan that he is of much importance to the company,” the DPG remarked.
later on, Additional Director General of Police Sanjay Pillay reviewed the battalion performances.
