locals damage bus after death of 16-year-old boy

Annoyed over the death of a 16-year-old boy under the wheels of a low floor bus, near lalghati, the locals damaged the bus. The incident was reported on Friday under the limits of Koh-e-Fiza Police station.

After the incident violent mob tried to torch the mob but police managed to pacify the mob and disbursed the agitators. The accident took place at around 5 pm while the deceased was trying to cross the road from BRTS corridor.

Mild use of force was done to disperse the agitators who were infuriated by the death of the minor and protested at the spot of the accident. The deceased identified as Samad ullah of Barella village was on his way to home when he was hit. He used to work as labour.

The incident took place when the bus bearing registration number MP04-PA-0983 hit the youth near lalghati at BRTS corridor.

Soon after the death bus was damaged by the locals who came out to protest and blocked the roads creating traffic jam at the lalghati  road later when the protestors were disbursed bus was removed using a crane and traffic movement was eased.

The passengers of the bus escaped unhurt and none of them sustained injuries in the incident. The errant driver left the vehicle and escaped the spot. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.

A case under section 304 A of the IPC was registered by the police after a complaint was lodged by the family members of the deceased.
