The lions Club of Bokaro Thermal (322A) installed a water purifier at Hanuman temple premises near station road on Saturday to provide safe drinking water to the people of thermal city and its surrounding areas.
According to reports, a free drinking water project “Swachh Jal–Swachh Bharat” was inaugurated by Bokaro Thermal power project head & chief engineer JP Singh and lions members on Sunday morning at station road, Bokaro Thermal, sponsored by lions club of International, this 45 liters per hour mineral water project of lions club of Bokaro thermal, will provide free RO drinking water free of cost to low incomes households of the areas.
According to Club president, ln Jogendra Giri, by providing clean drinking water, the project will save users from most of the waterborne diseases. On the occasion Club Secretary ln UK Nair pointed out that five lakhs people die every year in India only because of waterborne diseases caused by consumption of contaminated water.
It is therefore critical that needy people should avail this service by lions Club of Bokaro thermal keep their family healthy. On the occasion all lions members including ln Dr H kumar, ln SB Singh, ln Jitendra Singh, ln AK Sakuja, ln Binod Bhatia, ln NP Sinha, ln PP Shah ln Sushil Kumar Singh, ln Prakash Thakkar, ln PP Srivatava ln Dhrasan Singh, Dy CE lB Shrama and others members were present on the occasion.
