Opposition Congress on Thursday alleged that the State Government has filed many false cases against former Sanakhemundi MlA Ramesh Jena with political motive and demanded a CBI probe into charges levelled against him. Raising the issue during Zero Hour in the State Assembly, Opposition Chief Whip Tara Prasad Bahinipati said Jena is still languishing in jail even after he availed bails in 18 cases. “The more bails he gets, the more false cases are being filed against him. The ruling party is in fear of his popularity ahead of panchayat polls,” said Bahinipati.
