Mayor Alok Sharma distributed prizes for legislator Cup Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament at Bharkheda Pathani in a programme that was presided by former mayor Krishna Gaur.
In the final match of the tournament Shariq Club won by 9 wickets against JK studios. During the prize distribution Bhopla MP Alok Sanjar was also present for a brief time.
The final was played between Shariq Club and JK Studios. JK Studios took first batting and could score only 35 runs. In return Shariq Club chased the score in only 4 over’s with the loss of just one wicket.
The winning Shariq Club received a shield and Rs 31 thousand in cash. The runners up JK studios received a cup and Rs 15 thousand cash prize and the third team SK Generator received Rs seven thousand cash.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion Alok Sharma said that to encourage sports legislator trophy is an important start. Sharma also said that Chief Minister is doing so much for sports in the state that it will bring talents out of the shell and it will not only make the state pride but nation too.
On this occasion Sharma announced an amount of 15 lakh for the development of the ground.
Former mayor Krishna Gaur said that with the development of the ground the players will get an opportunity to refine their skills and make their state proud.
On this occasion the Mayor in Council Member Keval Mishra, District Sports officer Jose Chako, Zone Presidents Harishankar Misra, lakshmi Thakur, Corporators Rashmi Divedi, Sanjay Varma, Former Elderman Sanjay Kuvar and others were present.
