Seven candidates are left in the fray for the Khadoor Sahib by-poll in Punjab, slated for February 13, after an Independent withdrew his nomination papers on Saturday.
Ajit Singh Saini, has withdrawn his candidature, said a spokesman for the Chief Electoral Officer Punjab here. With this, seven candidates are left in the fray, he said.
Those in the fray are Ravinder Singh Brahmpura (SAD), Puran Singh BSP (Ambedkar) and five Independents - Sukhdev Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Sumail Singh, Harjit Singh, and Anantjeet Singh. Congress has already announced “boycott” of the by-poll while AAP too would not contest.
