The much-awaited ramp foot over-bridge (FOB) was inaugurated at the Jharsuguda railway station on Saturday. Jharsuguda MlA Naba Kishore Das and MP Pravash Singh inaugurated the FOB in the presence of Chakradharpur Divisional Regional Manager Rajendra Prasad.
Online booking for retiring room and dormitories were also inaugurated at the station. The parcel management systems were also commissioned on the occasion. Moreover, CCTVs have been installed at station.
Rajendra Prasad said an escalator, large berth, digital board at PRS centre and coach indication board for the station have been sanctioned and are under construction.
Pravash Singh said, “The demand to establish a railway division was raised in the parliament and we would it sure that the Jharsuguda station gets first class treatment in ground works even though it has already been declared as first class railway station.”
