'Implement 7th pay panel report in a month'

Sunday, 30 October 2016 | PNS | Bhubaneswar

The Milita Kriyanusthana Committee, a body of leaders of affiliated associations of the Odista State Non-Gazetted Officers’ Coordination Committee, on Saturday demanded that the State Government implement 7th Pay Commission recommendations within a month’s time.

“We welcome the State Government for setting up a fitment committee which would prepare modalities for implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations. But it is disappointing that the Government has not set a time limit for its implementation,” said committee general secretary Gagan Bhanja. He said the Government announced to form a fitment committee under pressure as committee had been demanding implementation of 7th Pay panel recommendation for the last two months.

Committee members Sudhanshu Sekhar Pati, Ajaya Kumar Nayak, Daitari Kar, Pramod Pradhan, Krushna Chandra Nayak and Ashis Kumar Nanda demanded that the Government implement the new pay within a month’s time.
