Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by sub–inspector Anil Kumar Singh intercepted a Bolero (JH11P-9113) jeep near lenda chowk within the limits of Muffasil police station in Giridih district and seized huge quantities of illicit foreign made liquor on Friday morning at 7am.
Driver of the Bolero was arrested on the scene, while another managed to flee from the scene. The Muffasil police have registered a case against a accused and investigating the case behind the illegal wine business.
With the sudden raids panic seems to have spread among some of the illegal traders in the locality .The Giridih Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijay Ashish Kujur said he has made his intension very clear to all the officer-in –charges of all police stations of the Giridih that he will not allow illegal wine business and his movement against illegal business of wine in Giridih will continue unabated.
The operation was conducted on the directives of the superintendent of police Akhlesh V Verier to check of illegal wine business including, buying and stocking, in various parts within the jurisdictions of different police stations of Giridih.
According to reports one bolero jeep ferrying illegal caught by a police team (Muffasil PS) at lenda Chowk area on Friday morning .The illegal foreign wine were loaded in the jeep and was on way to Dwarpahari via Bandarkupi and later were being transported to Bihar. Meanwhile police on Friday have seized 10cartoons with illegal foreign liquor of OC Blue conducting drive in the locality.
