HP Pollution Control Board to regularise contractual appointees

The 75th meeting of the H.P. State Pollution Control Board was convened on Wednesday in Hotel Holiday Home here under the Chairmanship of Kuldeep Singh Pathania.

The Board decided to regularise the services of the contractual appointees who have completed five years’ service as on 31.03.2016. Accordingly the State Board has regularised the services of the 11 contractual or daily wage appointees against the sanctioned posts who have completed five years of service as on March 31.

It also approved the amendment in the R&P Rules of Jr. Scientific Assistant  by adopting the amendment that 70% posts will be filled by direct recruitment whereas 30% by promotion amongst Senior lab Assistants. This decision will provide the promotion avenue to Sr. lab Assistants also.

The State Board approved the Annual Report of the Board for 2015-16. This report provides the details of the work performed by the State Board during last financial year.

It also approved enhancement in the pay by 50% of Grade pay of contractual employees appointed by the Board against the Central Pollution Control Board funded project “National Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Programme “NAMP” and approved EMPs of various Hydro Electric Projects on co-terminus basis.

The State Board will issue Consent to Establish for 5 years with the option to industrialist to apply for lesser period if so desired by them. Now industrialist need not to apply every year for renewal of Consent to Establish, this decision will facilitate the

industries.State Board was apprised that 1026 Consents to industries were issued under the provisions of Section 25 of Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and 21 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 during the period 1.03.2016 to 21.6.2016.

The members of Board of Directors who attended the meeting included Akshay Sood, Special Secretary (Finance) to the Government of H.P., Ajay Kumar lal, Director (Environment),  Bhanu Pratap Singh , CEO, HIMURJA, Amit Kashyap, Director (Industries), Capt. JM Pathania, Director (Urban Development) besides the other non-official members.
