Haryana Government would identify and undertake 50 big projects as a part of golden jubilee year celebrations of the state to be started from November 1 this year.

An open session of former legislators would also be convened to seek their suggestions for the golden jubilee year celebrations, said Chief Minister Manohar lal on Friday.

He presided over a meeting regarding identification of schemes, programmes and projects to be implemented during 'Swarn Jayanti Year' of the formation of the state.

Talking to the mediapersons after the meeting, the Chief Minister said that committees would be constituted to underline various schemes of different departments. Another meeting would be called after 15 days in this regard.

He said that a special two-day session of State assembly would also be convened to discuss the beginning of golden jubilee year celebrations. During this, one day session would be open in which all former MlAs would also be invited.

Earlier while addressing the officers in the meeting, the Chief Minister said that various programmes and events with the theme of ‘Haryana Ek-Haryanavi Ek’, Swacch Haryana-Swasthh Haryana’ and Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ should be held throughout the golden jubilee year in an effort to associate all Haryanavis with the celebrations.

He said that the Government would set up special entrance gates at all  main entry points of the state from neighbouring states so as to involve all in the mass celebrations of the golden jubilee year of Haryana.

With a view to achieve the success, the Chief Minister also suggested to constitute Golden Jubilee Organising Committee, Executive Committee and Managing Committee in which a Minister, Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister should be involved and they would decide the further roadmap of the celebrations.

In the meeting, Secretaries of the department concerned apprised the Chief Minister about the schemes, programmes and projects which are to be implemented during 'Swarn Jayanti Year'.

Cabinet Ministers and senior officials of the State Government were present during the meeting.
