The Haryana Government on Tuesday announced to fill up 1,500 posts of drivers and more than 900 posts of technical staff in Transport Department.
The announcement came after a meeting of Transport Minister Krishan lal Panwar with representatives of various unions of state roadways, who had announced to hold ‘chakka jam’ on December 2.
After the meeting, the Minister said that as many as 600 new buses would be added to the fleet of state roadways and e-ticketing system would soon be adopted to realise the Prime Minister’s vision of cashless transaction.
The Minister said that even earlier the State Government had taken significant decisions in the interest of the employees.
The decision to regularise the services of employees, would benefit 8,200 drivers and conductors. In case of drivers and conductors, now the word SPl would not be mentioned and the word ‘regular’ would be mentioned with these 8,200 drivers and conductors. Also, now they would get the benefit of New Pension Scheme and ACP, said he.
A committee has been constituted to remove the anomalies in salaries of technical staff and the process is underway to provide leave Travel Concession (lTC) to employees, added the Minister.
Panwar said that a residential colony has been developed in Gurugram to meet the residential requirement of the employees. Apart from this, more such colonies would be established on the basis of availability of land.
The Minister directed the officers concerned present in the meeting to prepare a list of such employees whose promotion is pending. He assured the representatives of various unions that all their genuine demands would be considered sympathetically.
