Haryana Government has decided to seek public suggestions at various stages of policy formulation, regulation and legislation so as to ensure good governance in the State.
These suggestions will be sought through online mechanism.The Chief Secretary office has issued directions to all Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments in this regard.
All Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments have been asked to ensure that before passing any policy, regulation and legislation, the suggestions of public should be taken through online mechanism at various stages.
They have been asked to ensure that drafts pertaining to policy, regulation and legislation are put on website of the concerned department for the suggestions and comments of the general public.
The orders issued by CS office also directed the senior officials that suggestions and comments so received should be compiled and processed by the department and these should also be displayed on the website as to how the suggestions and comments of general public have been incorporated in the final notification.
A senior official of the State Government said that the decision has been taken to ensure transparency in Government’s work, good governance and public participation in decision making process.
The State Government wants to ensure public participation in major policy decision. The Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar has time and again stressed on the need of public involvement in policy making and has also directed to ensure the same in the State, added the official.
